I’m Rylee
After living in Seattle and exploring Washington state for three years, I decided it was time to start sharing my experience with others. From whitewater kayaking to dog friendly activities in Seattle, I’ve got you covered.
More About Me
I started exploring the outdoors in my home state, Utah. Growing up in the desert climate was amazing for hiking, camping, and so much more. One summer, late into my college career, I decided to work as a whitewater rafting guide for one summer. That summer led to to rafting on the Wenatchee river in Washington State. This is where my passion for this amazing state began.
After my summer living in Leavenworth, I decided to pack up and move myself and my dog Rio to Seattle. Ever since that day we set foot in Seattle, I’ve been dedicated to trying new things and exploring the state. I have quickly found myself being asked to recommend hiking trails or destinations to visit in Washington state, so I figured I would put all of that information here! My main hobbies include whitewater kayaking, hiking, backpacking, exploring parks, and hanging out with Rio. If you’re looking for inspiration or recommendations on what to do in Washington state, you’ve made it to the right place.
Exploring Washington With Rio
My dog Rio and I moved to Seattle a little over two years ago. Together, we’ve spent countless hours exploring nature Seattle and Washington state. I’m always looking for new hikes, parks, or other activities to try with
I rescued Rio four years ago. Since then i’ve spent most of my time with this little guy. Rio is an English Setter, a high energy bird hunting dog. Unfortunately for him, we’re not doing any bird hunting. This leaves Rio with tons of energy, and I’m always on the search for dog friendly activities that will tire him out. Living in the city of Seattle can make this difficult! If you’re new to the city or Washington state check out my guide to dog friendly activities below.
